Aims:
A. To identify the needs of professional voice users, particularly teachers, and to provide services to meet those needs effectively B. To generate, share and apply and disseminate knowledge about the care, development and use of the speaking voice. C. To facilitate the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and experience, and promote co-operative action. D. To encourage and support work of the highest quality. E. To ensure the effectiveness and growth of the work in the longer term. F. To manage its affairs in an open, participative way. Annual Subscription runs from 1 April to 31 March and is £50. david-pic-aug-07-web-016.jpg Tutor status is restricted to those with professional training and work experience. It is regulated by the VCN’s Qualifications Committee. Professional training, and quality of experience are taken into consideration. Attendance at Practical Interactive Study Meetings are essential. They are held usually twice a year in different locations. Ideas are shared to facilitate selection and to refresh and update skills. All members receive Voice Matters the VCN newsletter in Spring, Summer and Winter. It includes news of developments and members activities: reports of experience and research and book reviews. Professional Development Days and Annual Study Meetings are held for members. Other people may attend at a higher fee.
