Alan Lyne was at the original gestation of the VCN! He and Roz, our Founder, had attended a meeting of the Voice Research Society in 1991 and returning (via the pub!) encouraged Roz to start up the VCN. Alan has now decided his days of delivering voice coaching are probably in the past (he has now reached the young age of 80!).
As a new member I was made very welcome. Everyone I met was supportive and willing to share their experiences. I am looking forward to attending Voice Workshops, ½ day or 1 day, specifically aimed at teachers of children and young adults. This would be helpful to me in my role as Speech and Drama teacher in Prep and Senior departments of a girl’s school.
