Not wanting to miss out on World Voice Day, which fell during the holidays, Mayfields School’s Drama Club, consisting of year sevens and eights, (get them on board when they are young!) celebrated their own World Voice Day on 3rd April with some poetry readings.
The event included diverse material ranging from limericks and self-penned pieces, through to
luminaries such as William Wordsworth and Pablo Neruda.
The session was focussed on building vocal confidence in a supportive atmosphere. The vocal expression and sense of freedom achieved, highlighted how important and effective voice work can be on many different levels.
An enjoyable time was had by all!
